Proses Makina: Innovative Leadership in Battery Recycling
As Proses Makina, we take pride in participating in the 28th edition of the ICBR conference this year. ICBR 2023 served as an international event that addressed the challenges faced by the global battery recycling industry and provided a platform for discussing solutions.
ICBR 2023 brings together experts from every link in the battery recycling value chain. This event offers significant opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration among participants who specialize in battery recycling and sustainability. Among the 138 total participants, prominent companies such as our company, TESLA, Volswagen, BASF, Siemens, Li-Cycle, Umicore, and TES contributed to enriching ICBR 2023.
The ICBR 2023 congress highlighted the critical importance of battery recycling in the context of a circular economy and sustainability. Speakers emphasized the role of black mass production in battery manufacturing and the recyclability of rare metals within batteries, signaling a new era of recycling for the world. Furthermore, they focused on the positive impact of the forthcoming battery revolution on natural resources, considering energy efficiency, and discussed the environmental effects that need to be addressed globally. The challenges encountered and solutions in processing and recycling different battery types, as well as repurposing and waste framework directives, were also among the topics discussed. The details of our Flex-Batt battery recycling project, where our main point of departure is the difficulty of processing different types of batteries, attracted great attention from the conference participants.
Flex-Batt: Innovative Battery Recycling Solution
Proses Makina garnered significant interest at ICBR 2023 with the Flex-Batt battery recycling system we introduced. With this system, we can recycle various types of batteries using a single system, adhering to a minimum energy and maximum efficiency policy while ensuring safety standards and type approval for high-efficiency critical metal recovery and PCAM production. Our innovative and clean tech minimizes chemical usage and reduces energy consumption, aligning with sustainability objectives by optimizing resource utilization. Moreover, we offer a personalized application approach that minimizes initial capital investment and maximizes returns throughout the operational lifecycle, all while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

ICBR 2023 brings industry leaders and stakeholders together to chart the course for a sustainable future. As Proses Makina, we actively participate in sharing innovations within the sector, presenting our projects to the world, creating collaboration opportunities, and maintaining our commitment to shaping a sustainable future. Our Flex-Batt system, presented at ICBR 2023, is establishing itself as a reliable and circular value chain in the energy world. Meetings have been scheduled with participants who have expressed interest in detailed information about the project, including aspects related to clean tech, remanufacturing, battery passports, and carbon footprint. We are currently conducting these meetings, continuing to introduce our project, and generating partnerships. Additionally, in line with the collaborations established during the congress, our R&D team is working to improve the samples provided to us, pledging to produce green solutions with a commitment to minimum energy usage and maximum efficiency, aligned with our mission.
We are excitedly anticipating the ICBR 2024 conference, scheduled for September 10-12 next year, and have already reserved our spot. Just as we did this year, we eagerly await the opportunity to establish new collaborations and work together to build a sustainable future at next year’s event. Topics such as EV’s batteries, green deal, eco-design, battery regulations, and of course Flex-Batt will be at the forefront of our discussions and initiatives.
